Specially developed for use in shredding machines

Shredding machine gears

Designed for the special characteristics of shredding machines

The layout design of the shredding machine gears takes into consideration the special characteristics of shredding machines such as the frequent occurrence of jolts and impacts, which may temporarily require the gears to produce very high torques. The expectation of a long service life was made a reality here, as was the expectation of a high degree of efficiency. In addition, “continuous improvement” ensures that we are constantly improving in this area as well.

Advantages

Shredding machine gears from Koellmann Gear have been specially developed for the special requirements of shredder systems:

  • Extremely robust design for a high degree of resistance vis-a-vis impact loads
  • Gear design for use in processing a wide array of materials (e.g. metals, plastics, natural materials, composite materials)
  • Unvarying transfer of power for a highly consistent throughput of materials in 24/7 operation

APPLICATIONS

Shredding machines and/or recycling systems have been more in demand than ever in recent years, and will continue to be so in the future. They support gentle environmental protection and make it possible to handle resources in a sustainable manner. Materials that used to end up “unfiltered” in the landfill are being broken down into their components these days and put back into circulation in the raw material cycle.

DESIGNS AND ACCESSORIES

The two and three-stage versions in a single housing design makes an especially flexible use of the machine possible. The noise and power-optimised helical gearing guarantee low sound pressure levels and a high degree of efficiency. A rigid monoblock housing design allows even the highest loads to be compensated and realised.
